Ben Sawyer is the co-founder of Digitalmill, a games consulting firm based in Portland, Maine. He is also the co-founder of the Games for Health Project which specifically works on developing the use of videogames and videogame technologies for use in health & healthcare.  Since beginning his career over ten years ago, Sawyer has pioneered major initiatives in the field of serious games and has become a nationally recognized leader within the games community, as well as dedicated his professional life to discovering new ways to expand the use of games beyond entertainment. His firm has also designed and produced close to 20 serious games for a diverse array of platforms and topics including training, health, and science education.
